This is a 1989 soundboard live recording of The Zawinul Syndicate, led by Joe Zawinul. The performance took place at the legendary Bottom Line in New York; the audio has been remastered to reduce hiss noise and adjust equalization. Additionally, long silent passages between tracks have been shortened for a more enjoyable listening experience. It is neither straight-ahead jazz nor the fusion style of Weather Report—if one had to label it, "world music" would be the closest fit. Please enjoy this unique live performance, a blend of diverse cultural influences.
