This release features a performance by Van Halen from their 2004 US tour—specifically the September 17th show at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA—captured via a "hybrid" soundboard (SBD) recording. The tour followed Sammy Hagar’s surprise return to the band and coincided with the release of a greatest-hits compilation, serving as a promotional live event. Although Sammy would depart the band again in 2006, the period captured here shows that tensions with the Van Halen brothers had subsided; the band displays excellent chemistry, and Eddie Van Halen’s guitar work shows a mature, seasoned quality, resulting in a top-tier rock concert experience. The audio is presented as a "hybrid" soundboard (utilizing IEM—in-ear monitor—feeds), offering sound quality of the highest caliber.
