As the title suggests, this is a live recording from the same venue as the Brecker Brothers' acclaimed live album *Heavy Metal Be-Bop*, captured just one month later—essentially, an "alternative" version of *Heavy Metal Be-Bop*. While the pairing of the Brecker Brothers (leaning toward fusion) with Terry Bozzio (known for his work in jazz-rock and progressive rock) might seem a bit unusual, the two parties had previously collaborated on Frank Zappa’s official live album, *Zappa in New York*. The recording is a stereo soundboard source with excellent instrumental separation—perfect for showcasing Bozzio’s busy, intricate drumming style. If you are a fan of *Heavy Metal Be-Bop*, this is an essential listen.
