Direct Transfer from the Original Analog Tape (2026)

The BEATFILE label presents a rare collection of audio sourced from the original U.K. analog tapes of *Rubber Soul*—the historic masterpiece that marked a turning point for The Beatles in 1965! This release features direct transfers of the 8-track cartridge and cassette tape versions—formats that began production in the UK in 1970. Due to time constraints, the track orders were significantly rearranged, and the 8-track version even includes two duplicate tracks. Beyond the unique analog tape sound—distinct from remastered versions—the mastering itself differs between the two formats; the cassette version features swapped left and right channels and wider stereo separation, resulting in a completely different sonic texture. This is a noteworthy collector's item that preserves these analog-sourced recordings, which are now difficult to obtain!
