*Ticket That Exploded*—a Television bootleg masterpiece that caused a sensation upon its initial release as an "unexpected discovery"—is back as a digitally remastered edition! This release captures the concert from July 2, 1978, via a soundboard recording. While the original stereo soundboard source was high-quality, the channel separation was excessive, resulting in poor balance; specifically, Tom Verlaine’s parts were heavily skewed toward one channel. To remedy this, 50% of Verlaine's signal was extracted and mixed into the opposite channel, bringing his guitar and vocals prominently to the center of the mix. Fluctuations in volume during the intros have also been corrected, making the sonic upgrade immediately apparent upon listening. Experience the band's tight, solid, yet noisy ensemble—charged with palpable tension—featuring that distinctive, strained high-pitched vocal style and cutting tremolo guitar tones. The high-intensity guitar battles are nothing short of spectacular, and during the climactic "Marquee Moon," an overcome Tom Verlaine even lets out a scream mid-performance!
