This release features audio and video from the concert held on March 20, 1991, at the Guthrie Theater in Minnesota, part of the tour supporting *Fresh Evidence*—Rory Gallagher's final studio album. Coming right after the release of this new album on his own label—and with a long-awaited tour of Japan confirmed for the following year (1992)—this performance captures Gallagher at the top of his game, delivering a high-energy show. *Fresh Evidence* marked a new creative chapter for Rory; while rooted in the blues, the album showcased an ambitious spirit that went beyond expectations, incorporating elements like a horn section and forays into zydeco. Four tracks from the album—"Kid Gloves," "Walkin' Wounded," "Heaven's Gate," and "Ghost Blues"—are performed here, alongside classics like "Tattoo'd Lady," offering a fantastic showcase of his range from rock 'n' roll to the blues. The audio is a soundboard (SB) recording, ensuring clear sound quality. While the video is an audience shot, it was filmed from a close-up position (arena seating) with appropriate zooming; the audio track utilizes the SB source mixed with the audience recording (matrix), allowing you to enjoy the visuals with the fidelity of a soundboard recording. Unfortunately, due to exposure issues, Rory's face appears washed out (white) in some shots; however, the content itself is a precious record from a truly fulfilling period in his life—captured four years before his passing in 1995, and at a time when he had just launched his own label. In a word, the performance is magnificent.
