This release captures the first performance of the much-discussed "Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow" project—a limited-time reunion that saw Ritchie Blackmore return to hard rock after a long hiatus following the original Rainbow's dissolution.
The footage documents the "Monsters Of Rock" performance held on June 17, 2016, at the Loreley Freilichtbühne in St. Goarshausen, Germany. While not a "complete" recording in the sense of capturing every single moment between songs, it includes every track actually performed during the set.
