This release from the Updown label features a high-quality audience recording of the June 16, 1990, Paris concert from the Nude Tour. This performance was originally scheduled to be broadcast on the French television channel France 2 in the summer of 1990, but the broadcast was ultimately canceled. The setlist—perhaps curated with a television broadcast in mind—is particularly intriguing. It includes a rare rendition of Leon Russell’s "A Song For You" sung by Rosie Gaines, as well as a performance of "Little Red Corvette"—a song not typically featured on the Nude Tour. This is followed by "Batdance" and "Partyman" (two *Batman*-related tracks that usually appeared later, before the encore), a piano-led version of "Do Me, Baby," a cover of Aretha Franklin’s "Ain't No Way" (again featuring Rosie Gaines), and "Nothing Compares 2 U"—an unconventional sequence of songs. The set concludes with an extensive, 14-minute jam on "Baby I'm A Star." This is a must-have release for any fan of the Nude Tour.
