MORE THAN WORDS
HOLE HEARTED

This release compiles highlights from the Japan tour of Nuno Bettencourt’s trio project, "Mourning Widows," featuring performances from Shibuya ON AIR EAST (May 16, 1999) and HEAT BEAT OSAKA (May 11, 1999).
Taking a fresh, funk-oriented approach, the band delivers an astonishing level of groove—complemented, of course, by Nuno’s stellar guitar work. The set also includes the Extreme tracks that fans have been longing to hear.
The show concludes on a high note with a massive, sing-along rendition of "More Than Words" during the encore!

[Review from a music magazine]
This release features the final show of the tour, supplemented by two tracks from the Osaka performance. The audio quality—captured via a DAT audience recording—is excellent, with a close, bass-heavy sound that reflects the acoustics of the venue.
As it is a single-CD release, it is a pity that only half of the concert is included.
However, the transitions between tracks have been carefully edited digitally, ensuring a seamless listening experience. The selection of songs is strong, resulting in a well-curated, compact collection.
Highlights include tracks like "Cupid’s Dead" (Track 10) and "Hole Hearted" (Track 12), which feature distinct tempo variations.
