The "God" returns! After sending Tokyo and Osaka into a frenzy this past January with his "My Years with UFO" tour, Michael Schenker is back in Japan in October 2026—this time with a new-look MSG, featuring his longtime collaborator from the 80s and 90s, Robin McAuley, on vocals!
This definitive, high-quality release captures the first of his two exclusive Japanese performances—held on October 24 at Pia Arena MM—with sound quality so exceptional it rivals a professional stereo soundboard recording.

This Yokohama show, which served as the grand finale for the first day of the "Full Metal Japan" event (held on October 24 and 25), is presented here in its entirety, captured via a multi-source stereo IEM matrix recording by the renowned XAVEL label. Free from the click tracks or guide cues often found in IEM (in-ear monitor) recordings, this live recording centers on the commanding, iconic guitar work of "The God" himself and the powerful vocals of Robin—who shows no signs of his age (now over 70). The mix masterfully blends a stereo line feed—capturing every instrument in perfect balance—with a superb audience recording that fully preserves the electric atmosphere of the venue.

As the opening show of the "Don’t Sell Your Soul" world tour, this performance in Yokohama—held ahead of any other global date—drew the attention of fans of "The God" from all over the world.
While one might have expected a heavy focus on the McAuley Schenker Group (MSG) era, that phase is largely set aside in favor of a setlist packed with classic tracks from the "golden age" of MSG—spanning the Barden and Bonnet eras.
In particular, Robin’s powerful and rock-solid delivery of the beloved songs from the Barden era is sure to delight every MSG fan.
Adding to the excitement, Ronnie Romero—who was performing that same day with Gus G.’s band—made a guest appearance on "Assault Attack," lending his versatile vocal talents to the performance.
This show offers a completely different experience from the UFO self-cover tour held in January; it is clear that the two tours together form a single, cohesive narrative.
