Led Zeppelin 1970 North American Tour September 19th Madison Square Garden: New York Complete recording of Afternoon & Evening Show at New York NY. This recording captures the band during a period of massive global success, following the release of their second album in October 1969—a time when they were at the height of their momentum. The performance is powerful and full of energy, showcasing a raw, unpolished edge and an atmosphere unique to that specific era. The recording even includes a moment where Robert Plant offers a comment following the death of Jimi Hendrix on September 18th. It is a truly fantastic and highly enjoyable show. As an audience recording from 50 years ago, it naturally carries a slight vintage quality, but the sound is of excellent fidelity; it allows for an immersive, authentic experience of a live performance that could only have taken place in that particular time and place.
