This recording captures the final show of the 1980 KISS World Tour, held on December 3rd at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. The tour took place following the departure of Peter Criss and the addition of new drummer Eric Carr. As guitarist Ace Frehley also left the band after this tour, this serves as a significant archival recording in the history of KISS. With the release of the album *Unmasked*, KISS shifted toward a more pop-oriented sound—a period that saw their popularity decline in the United States and Japan. However, their appeal remained undiminished in South America and Oceania. The performance captured here showcases an incredibly enthusiastic audience and a band operating at peak motivation; guitarist Ace Frehley, in particular, delivers a commanding, high-intensity performance. It is an excellent live recording from start to finish. As a bonus, the release includes 12 soundboard (SBD) tracks—outtakes from the 1977 live album *Alive II*—offering a fascinating opportunity to compare the band’s sound and different drumming styles. The audio quality is consistently high, sourced from soundboard recordings.
