This release captures the first night of KISS’s 2019 Japan tour, held on December 8th at Xebio Arena Sendai in Miyagi, Japan. While there is a slight sense of stiffness in the performance—understandable for the opening night of their final Japanese tour—KISS delivers a top-tier show for their long-awaiting fans. Having enjoyed a substantial break, the band is clearly in excellent form, resulting in a fantastic live performance. The sound quality is presented in a "hybrid SBD" (soundboard) format, offering a stable, high-fidelity listening experience with a direct, "in-the-room" feel. You can even hear the sound crew’s countdowns and their stage-direction cues to the members—details unique to the in-ear monitor (IEM) feed—making this an exceptional archival release.
