This release features a complete recording of the April 24, 1994, concert at the Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan, part of Jackson Browne's long-awaited tour of Japan that year.
While the sound quality is slightly distant, it is a solid audience recording.
The setlist and content varied from show to show on this tour, and the recording captures moments such as impromptu performances in response to audience requests. The encore—"The Load-Out/Stay" on Disc 2—is a treat for fans, featuring Browne singing alongside his roadies and a surprise performance of "Somebody's Baby" as the final song, even though he hadn't played it when originally requested earlier in the show.

Great sounding concert that starts off strong and really picks up steam on disc 2. Added Blu-ray video is a big plus. Great performances of Maze, Hopscotch, You’re Under Arrest, Jean Pierre, concluding with an amazing version of Decoy. Miles Davis takes his solo, then lets Bob Berg and John Scofield trade licks “mano a mano. Feeling brave as a musician in 1985? Good thing you didn’t jump on stage with those two and get cut to shreds !
