This release captures the New Year's concert held on December 31, 2002, at Blueberry Hill in Dunsfold, Surrey, England. Following the passing of his close friend George Harrison in November 2001, Eric Clapton was relatively inactive in 2002; consequently, live recordings from that year are extremely rare. Perhaps refreshing himself for a new start in the coming year, Clapton delivers a performance that feels wonderfully relaxed and easy to listen to. The setlist leans heavily on blues numbers, and the audience is visibly excited as the clock ticks down to 2003. Eric himself plays with great energy and spirit. Regarding sound quality: although it is an audience recording, the balance is excellent; free from excessive equalization, the sound remains stable and pleasant throughout the entire performance.
