Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional induction ceremony for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was not held this year; instead, a special program titled *The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2020 Inductions* was broadcast.
This year's inductees included the Doobie Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., Depeche Mode, T. Rex, and Whitney Houston. The broadcast followed a format where each artist was introduced by a fellow artist, followed by a montage video and the acceptance speech. Additionally, a special tribute video honoring Edward Van Halen, who passed away in October, was aired.
