In preparation for the Beatles' *Anthology* project, the three surviving Beatles gathered at Paul's home studio—Hogg Hill Mill in Sussex—between February and March 1994. Their mission was to record the new songs "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love."

The fact that they were recording new Beatles material was kept strictly confidential; the tape boxes were labeled with the fictitious band name "Samaritans," which also serves as the title for this release.

Around late August 2026, the multitrack recordings for "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love" were leaked. The content was fascinating, sending fans into a frenzy. Just as the discovery of the *Top of the Pops* (1964) footage was a rare and remarkable find in recent years, the leak of these two songs' multitracks was an equally astonishing audio discovery.

Unfortunately, the initial leak was incomplete; existing releases—likely rushed to market—covered only about two CDs' worth of material, totaling a mere 147 minutes. This release is not merely a collection of files scraped from download sites or YouTube; it sources audio directly from the original, primary source. Spanning 77 tracks and totaling 233 minutes, this represents the genuine, complete picture.

This rare, significant audio discovery features session material derived from the "Free as a Bird" multitracks. It is a comprehensive 3-disc set containing 77 tracks and 233 minutes of audio—vastly surpassing any previous releases.
