This release marks the first-ever complete recording of the October 1, 1993, performance from the Paramount Theatre in New York City, where Paul Simon held a series of "Career Retrospective" concerts summarizing his musical journey. This recording captures the complete opening night of the concert series—previously unavailable—in high-quality audio sourced from a DAT master (albeit with some loud crowd noise).
The setlist features hits from his successful solo career in the 70s and 80s, and naturally includes an appearance by Art Garfunkel to recreate the Simon & Garfunkel sound of the 60s.
