Here is a live recording of Simon & Garfunkel from the Netherlands, captured at the peak of their career in 1970.
This release features a high-quality soundboard recording of their performance in Amsterdam from May of that year.
While recordings from this same show have previously circulated under titles like *The Harmony of the Spheres* and *Amsterdam 1970*, this version has been remastered to deliver clear sound; it corrects issues found in those earlier releases, such as distracting isolated pops, hiss, and sections where the audio was muffled or lacked separation.
Furthermore, this release includes "El Condor Pasa"—omitted from the aforementioned titles—along with ten live tracks from a 1966 NCRV TV broadcast.
At present, this title offers perhaps the only way to hear these live recordings from 1970.
The performances are superb, and the interplay between the duo is exquisite.
Although the massive success of the album *Bridge Over Troubled Water* was accompanied by internal discord that seemingly rendered their relationship irreparably broken, this recording reveals a magnificent, professional performance that betrays no sign of that tension.
