The latest release from the Sylph label—a favorite among fans—has arrived! This set features complete recordings from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 2007 Japan tour (their first-ever solo dome tour in the country): the Tokyo show on June 6 (Day 2) and the final show in Osaka on June 8. Both recordings boast incredible sound quality, delivering a level of power and immersion that defies the typical acoustics of a dome venue! The Osaka recording, in particular, offers such astonishing audio fidelity that it could easily be mistaken for a soundboard recording. No introduction is needed for the band itself; these performances are packed with the unique appeal of a top-tier live act, featuring setlists that vary significantly from show to show and spontaneous jams by John, Flea, and Chad.
In terms of the setlist, the second Tokyo show is a veritable parade of rare tracks! The 12 songs performed exclusively on this day include the amazing "Higher Ground," as well as "The Power Of Equality," "Otherside," "Fortune Faded," "Warlocks," "Parallel Universe," "Strip My Mind," "Around The World," "Hey," "Right On Time," "Hump De Bump," and "I Could Have Lied"!! For the Osaka show, four songs—"Havana Affair," "Wet Sand," "Nobody Weird Like Me," and the fan favorite "Soul To Squeeze"—were performed only on this date!!! During "Wet Sand," there was even a moment where Anthony seemed to forget the lyrics and restarted the song. John’s entertaining solo segment featured a rendition of ABBA’s "SOS"!! This tour also includes a trumpet segment by Flea!! Since the setlists for these two releases differ significantly, they are absolute must-haves for any fan!!!
