The wait is over! This release features a complete recording of the final show of R.E.M.'s 2005 Japan tour—their first visit to the country in ten years—held in Osaka on March 18th. It boasts superb sound quality that captures all the power and atmosphere of the live performance! Known for changing their setlist at every show, the band delivered something truly special for this finale. During the encore, responding to fan requests, they played "Nightswimming" and "Find The River"—ultra-rare tracks they almost never perform live! Michael delivers a deeply moving vocal performance on "Nightswimming" with Mills on piano; it’s enough to bring a tear to your eye. This show also featured songs played only on this date, including "So Fast, So Numb," "Strange Currencies," "So. Central Rain," and "Exhuming McCarthy"! At one point, Michael mishears a fan's shout as "Peter, go home!" and playfully pretends to leave. The cozy, intimate atmosphere is also a highlight. You can fully enjoy a magnificent, moving performance—spanning 25 songs and well over two hours—that captures the special magic of the tour's final day!
