This release captures a live performance from Peter Frampton—who enjoyed immense popularity in Japan during the late 1970s and toured the country in 1978—recorded during his 2002 US tour at the House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, on August 18th. Although he had continued his career steadily through the 1980s—including a stint as a guitarist on an album by Japanese artist Akina Nakamori—he ramped up his live performance schedule in the 2000s, resulting in an incredibly enthusiastic atmosphere at this 2002 concert. The setlist focuses on his hits, and Frampton delivers a wonderful, relaxed performance that fosters a real sense of unity with the audience. The massive roar of the crowd joining in on the hit "Show Me The Way" is infectious, making it impossible not to tap along to the rhythm. Regarding sound quality: while this is an audience recording, the mix is well-balanced and very easy to listen to; the sound is stable throughout, free from muddiness or muffled tones.
