Michael Jackson's legendary, rare film *Captain EO* makes its debut in a Special Collector's Edition! This release includes a DVD featuring the complete film in high-quality HD-remastered video—along with making-of footage and rare rough-cut scenes—plus a CD containing soundtrack-related audio. Produced in 1986 at the peak of Michael's popularity, *Captain EO* was a spectacular space-adventure project that brought together top creators from the entertainment world, including executive producer George Lucas (*Star Wars*) and director Francis Ford Coppola (*The Godfather*). Originally released as a limited-run 3D film attraction and never previously released on home video, this legendary Michael Jackson film is now presented on DVD with a newly edited HD remaster. The original feature—distinct from the theatrical release—has been restored from the original film elements and is included in its complete, unedited form, presented in the best possible quality with custom Japanese subtitles. Also included are a widescreen edit and promotional edits featuring two of the film's songs. The "Extras" section features the production history, rare rough-cut footage (including scenes not used in the final film), and making-of footage and TV commercials originally broadcast in the US and Japan. The CD contains a newly edited version of the film's soundtrack. This Special Collector's Edition CD & DVD set compiles unreleased tracks, alternate versions, and even instrumental music from the theatrical presentation.
