This release pairs Cream’s 1966 UK tour with their 1967 USA tour. The 1966 London performance—recorded around the same time as the production of their debut album, *Fresh Cream* (released in December 1966)—captures a band already enjoying significant recognition; the atmosphere is electric, and one can sense the musicians playing with a palpable, slight tension. Throughout the set, the performances are executed with great care and precision. By 1967, with their debut album selling well, the band’s performances had become powerful and dynamic. Comparing the 1967 shows, one can clearly discern the distinct atmospheres between their UK and USA appearances. In any case, these recordings capture the band at their absolute peak. The sound quality is from an audience recording; it is of remarkably high quality for a source from that era, offering excellent stability, a strong sense of presence, and great clarity.
