This is a recording from the November 9, 1991 show during Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' "Into the Great Wide Open" tour.
Jeff Lynne participated in the *Into the Great Wide Open* album—which had just been released at the time—likely due to the influence of the Traveling Wilburys. The setlist features tracks such as "Kings Highway," "Too Good to Be True," "Out in the Cold," "Makin’ Some Noise," and "Built to Last," along with the singles "Learning to Fly" and "Into the Great Wide Open." It also includes staples like "Breakdown" and "Refugee," as well as covers such as "Psychotic Reaction" and "I’m Tired Joey Boy." This release comes from the "Legendary" series, utilizing a high-quality master source digitized in 2022 from Mike Millard’s original master tapes—a recording so pristine it required virtually no correction.

In recent years, there has been significant progress in digitizing Mike Millard’s tapes directly from the masters or from low-generation copies. Millard was a taper well-known among fans for his exceptional audience recording skills. The label has released several titles based on these newly digitized Millard tapes, categorizing them into two types: the "Brushed Mike Millard Tape" series and the "Legendary Mike Millard Tape" series. Not all of Millard’s tapes offer perfect sound quality; some require considerable work to improve the audio, and these heavily enhanced versions make up the "Brushed" series. Conversely, the "Legendary" series consists of recordings that were already near-perfect—leaving little room for sonic improvement—and thus received only minimal editing, such as adjustments between songs.
