THE BAND / UNRELEASED TRACKS OF ROCK OF AGES DEFINITIVE EDITION (2CDR)

This release features outtakes and rehearsal recordings from The Band's classic live album, *Rock of Ages*.
These are genuine outtakes that do not overlap with the bonus tracks found on the official 2001 remastered edition of the album, nor with the material included in the 2013 box set *Live at the Academy of Music 1971*.
As glimpsed in the film *Festival Express*, 1971 marked the absolute peak of The Band's creative powers.
Although they went on to support Bob Dylan during his triumphant comeback in early 1974, growing rifts between the members eventually led to the group's finale at *The Last Waltz* in 1976 and their ultimate dissolution.
