Rod Stewart returns to Japan for the first time in 13 years! This release features a complete recording of the March 9th Osaka show from his 2009 Japan tour, captured with superb sound quality that delivers incredible impact and a true "live" atmosphere. True to the tour's title, the setlist is a parade of classic hits! His daughter Ruby also makes an appearance mid-show to sing two songs. There was a moment during the introduction of "You Wear It Well" where he got the decade wrong and had to stop the music to make a correction, and he also had to restart "The First Cut Is the Deepest" because the opening vocal key was off. Then, during "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," a microphone malfunction left him singing without amplification for about two verses—he didn't realize it and kept singing his heart out off-mic, drawing a few chuckles from the crowd. Yet, it was a fun-filled Osaka show packed with the kind of mishaps that are uniquely Rod! The second half was a high-energy frenzy of hit songs and soccer balls kicked into the audience! A full two hours of the "Rod World" experience—it was simply the best. Now, a new live memorial release has arrived to let you relive that excitement!
