This is a live recording of Rick Danko, the bassist of The Band, performing solo with an acoustic guitar. The superb sound quality captures even the subtle nuances of the guitar strings being plucked, allowing you to enjoy everything from The Band songs to originals and blues numbers. A must-listen is his unreleased Bob Dylan track, "Blind Willie McTell." While demo versions of this song have recently appeared in bootleg series, this is an extremely valuable cover as it's the first official recording. His rendition of the classic "I Shall Be Release" is a masterful performance, featuring a heartfelt falsetto reminiscent of Richard Manuel.
