RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS /
From The Basement (1DVDR)

Recorded at Sky Arts Studios
London, England – October 18, 2012

This is pro-shot footage from the studio live program *From The Basement*, recorded in London on October 18, 2012, and produced by Nigel Godrich—who also produced the Chili Peppers' 10th album, *I’m With You*.
When their appearance was first announced, drummer Chad Smith hinted that the entire album would be performed; ultimately, the set consists of nine of the album's fourteen tracks, spanning approximately one hour.
The audio has been upgraded from the standard stereo mix to 5.1 surround sound!
The performance kicks off with "Monarchy of Roses," featuring two additional support musicians.
Highlights include Flea and Chad jamming between songs; Josh playing furiously while seated due to a broken leg sustained at the time of filming; and Anthony singing shirtless, just as he would at a full-scale concert.
Yet, the performance is truly magnificent, charged with the kind of palpable tension found in a recording studio session!
Enjoy this unique performance by the quartet—an experience distinct from their standard live shows.
