This release features a complete recording of Rainbow's performance at the Hiroshima-shi Kokaido in Hiroshima, Japan, on December 14, 1976. It marks the band's first-ever show in Hiroshima—the eighth date of their debut Japanese tour. While many recordings from this era have been released, most focus on the Osaka and Tokyo shows; although some other regional performances have surfaced, releases capturing the entire concert from start to finish are extremely rare. Notably, this recording includes "A Light In The Black," a song performed as an encore at only two shows during the entire 1976 Japan tour. The band is in top form here, displaying the peak motivation characteristic of early Rainbow. With the added significance of this being Ritchie's first tour leading the band in Japan, the recording directly conveys a raw intensity and power unique to this specific period.
