In recent years, there has been an ongoing effort to digitize the "Mike Millard tapes"—recordings captured by Mike Millard, a taper well-known among fans for his exceptional skill in making audience recordings. Our label has released several titles sourced from these newly digitized tapes; however, you may have noticed that they are categorized into two distinct series: "Brushed Mike Millard Tapes" and "Legendary Mike Millard Tapes." Not every Mike Millard tape boasts perfect sound quality; some require significant intervention and improvement—these fall under the "Brushed" series. Conversely, the "Legendary" series consists of recordings that were already near-perfect, requiring little to no enhancement beyond minimal edits, such as adjustments between tracks. As part of the “Legendary” series, this release pairs the first and final nights of Paul McCartney’s five-night residency at The Forum—the opening leg of his 1989 North American tour. Because the audio is sourced from a direct digital transfer of Mike Millard’s master tapes, no equalization has been applied, which is why it is presented under the “Legendary” series banner. Notable cheers between songs have been trimmed in a few places, and the chapter markers at the start of tracks have been readjusted. Additionally, the chapter marker between the medley tracks “Carry That Weight” and “The End” has been repositioned to match the layout found on the *Abbey Road* album CD.
