This release features a soundboard (line) recording of the KISS concert held on March 11, 1997, at the Velodromo del Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile. Following their January tour in Japan and a run of shows in Australia, the band kicked off their South American leg on March 7 in Mexico. This performance—the only one held in Chile—is characterized by an intense, high-energy delivery from the very start, perhaps reflecting the passionate temperament of the local audience. Paul Stanley, in particular, is in excellent form; the show serves as a textbook example of hard rock, offering a unique atmosphere that could only be experienced on this specific leg of the tour. The audio is sourced from a soundboard (line) recording—the only one available from this tour. While there are some minor, characteristic imperfections in the recording typical of South American bootlegs, the sound remains powerful, stable, and of high quality.
