This release captures a Japan tour performance by a powerhouse quartet featuring Miles Davis alumni Hancock, Shorter, and Holland, joined by Brian Blade. From a Hancock fan's perspective, the setlist is quite unique. The pro-shot DVD features image enhancement and has been resized to a 16:9 aspect ratio; the audio used on the disc has undergone digital remastering. While the CD shares the same audio quality, the gaps between songs have been shortened, allowing for a more brisk and engaging listening experience compared to the DVD.
