The "Necromancer" series—which reissues rare titles from a handmade, collector-focused label (originally distributed only within a very limited circle) using official master recordings—now expands to include the "Black Lodge" DVD series. These rare titles are being re-released at an accessible price point, marked with a special reissue emblem.
The performance features soul singer Leon Thomas and the renowned Freddie Hubbard—a key artist for the CTI label, celebrated for his soulful trumpet style—who take turns in the spotlight. While this is a valuable professional-grade recording, please note that because the source material is a videotape, some noise and visual degradation may be present. The sound—cosmic, spiritual, and groovy—serves as a precursor to the style later explored by artists such as Carlos Niño and his project, Build an Ark.
