This release captures the performance from the Download Festival—held on June 10, 2012, in their native UK—during the reunited Black Sabbath's 2012 World Tour. As their first concert back home in the UK following the reunion, this show stands out from performances in other regions; you can truly sense the genuine enjoyment shared between the audience and the band members. By this point in the tour, the band had found their groove; the communication between members is excellent, resulting in a highly polished, top-tier performance. While Ozzy—who was juggling this with his solo tour—appears to be struggling physically at times, his energy level is absolutely unmatched. Tony Iommi compensates by delivering a spirited, brilliant guitar performance that really drives the excitement of the concert. Regarding sound quality: although it is an audience recording, the balance is surprisingly good and high-quality. It offers great clarity and a natural sound without the need for extreme tone adjustments, allowing for a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience.
