This DVD features a pro-shot recording of Van Halen’s performance at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, California, on May 29, 1983, during their U.S. tour. The footage captures the band at the absolute peak of their powers—a period that included their record-breaking, high-profile appearance at the "US Festival 1983" and the massive success of their 1984 album, which went on to sell 10 million copies. The band’s performance is brimming with confidence, and the high level of motivation among the members showcases exactly why they were the ultimate rock band. While the original analog source material is not of the highest quality, it has undergone extensive restoration and has been reformatted from its original aspect ratio to widescreen, resulting in a more dynamic viewing experience. Although some inherent instability from the master source remains, the footage is stable enough for an enjoyable watch. As there are no official releases from this era, this recording is exceptionally rare and offers a fantastic opportunity to experience Van Halen at their absolute best.
