TOTO / THE SHOW MUST GO ON (2CDR)

This release features a complete recording of TOTO's triumphant return to the Nippon Budokan—a long-awaited performance showcasing the band at the peak of its powers.
This tour served as a benefit for Mike Porcaro, who was battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). While it was a temporary reunion, the lineup was the ultimate dream team fans had been waiting for: Steve Lukather and David Paich were joined by Joseph Williams and—remarkably—Steve Porcaro, marking a full-scale revival of the classic TOTO sound.
Joseph’s brilliant, soaring clean vocals make a triumphant return throughout the set, while the interplay between Paich and Steve—whose tones remind us that TOTO simply isn't TOTO without this duo—creates an immersive "TOTO atmosphere" through their flawless, rock-solid chemistry.
To perfectly recreate the electric energy of the Budokan show, we created a full matrix mix combining a noise-free, uncompressed IEM source (identical to what Joseph Williams heard on stage) with clear, well-balanced 24-bit audience audio recorded from the front row. The result is a rich, three-dimensional soundscape with impressive depth and texture.
The production quality is superb and sure to satisfy even the most discerning listener.
As a bonus, two tracks from the tour's opening night in Kanazawa (October 20) have been included, also featuring a matrix mix.
