This is a live recording of The Out Trio.
That name might draw a blank for most people, but this is a unit led by Terry Bozzio.
While the group—featuring Alex Machacek on guitar and Doug Lunn on fretless bass—may not be a household name, their technical prowess is world-class. After all, only top-tier technicians would even consider joining a trio with Bozzio. Although it is an audience recording, the sound quality is excellent, allowing you to fully enjoy their performance—a display of technical mastery that is as intense as it is precise. There is no setlist provided, but given that the music is instrumental and largely consists of jam-session-style improvisation, a formal setlist is hardly necessary.
