Stevie Wonder returned to Japan for the first time in about three and a half years to perform at Summer Sonic! This release captures his entire headlining performance from the Ocean Stage at Maishima, Osaka, on August 7, 2010, featuring the superb sound quality, power, and immersive atmosphere characteristic of the Sylph label! The setlist and staging are packed with festival-exclusive highlights! It features rare duets with his son, Mumtaz Wonder, on covers like "We Can Work It Out" and "Ribbon In The Sky." You’ll also hear piano arrangements incorporating "Sukiyaki" and "Sakusa Sakura," as well as powerful renditions of "Free" and "Another Star" featuring a Japanese chorus group of about twenty singers. Stevie’s vocals are absolutely stunning, and the parade of hits in the second half—including "I Just Called to Say I Love You," "Superstition," and "Happy Birthday"—is nothing short of superb!
