I obtained an original 720p MP4 file—compiled and edited from audience-shot footage of Prince's "Piano & A Microphone" tour—and authored it onto DVD-R.

First up is the Toronto performance. The final segment of the concert is featured at the beginning; while the show concludes with "Purple Rain," the performance incorporates "The Beautiful Ones" and "Somewhere Here On Earth" with great ingenuity, creating a deeply moving finale. It is an outstanding piece of footage that keeps both the stage and Prince in a fixed frame—simply irresistible.

Melbourne show. The performance of "Little Red Corvette" is wonderfully unconventional; Prince experiments with the tempo and vocal delivery, tries out different ways to start the song, and throws in ad-libs. This is another superb shot capturing both Prince and the stage.

Melbourne show. The performance features the unconventional piano work of "Purple Music," then transitions thrillingly into "Free Urself," sending the crowd into a frenzy. Although the camera shakes a bit, it captures dynamic shots of Prince, the stage, and the onstage screen.

Footage of the final section of "Purple Rain" from the Melbourne show. Next is the Atlanta show. These shots manage to capture Prince clearly through the gaps in the crowd. It begins with a lively piano-only rendition of "I Feel For You," followed by a thrilling transition into "Controversy"; the groove builds steadily until the song comes to an abrupt, explosive end. The piano performance of "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" is beautiful and deeply moving. The performance of "I Would Die 4 U" is excellent, but a woman standing up blocks the view of Prince, and the filming is abandoned just as "Baby I'm A Star" begins.

The Oakland show features close-ups of Prince taken from the onstage screen. The performance of "The Beautiful Ones" is a masterpiece—you won't be able to look away until the very end.

Back to the Atlanta show. "Under The Cherry Moon" serves as the intro to a full-fledged piano performance of "A Case Of U"—it’s enough to bring tears to your eyes. The filmer does their best to capture Prince despite the view being frequently obstructed. Then comes a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes." Prince alters the lyrics: changing "I—I will be king / And you—you will be queen / Though nothing will drive them away / We can be heroes, just for one day" to "You and I are a winning team / We can be heroes, time and time again." Finally, he declares, "Stand tall and hold fast to your beliefs—this is a sound for heroes like you and me," before finishing the song, saying "Goodnight," and leaving the stage.

Back to the Melbourne show. There is a magnificent arrangement featuring a mashup of "Purple Rain" within "Sometimes It Snows In April." Then, the seamless flow from the mysterious intro of "Melbourne" into "Big City"—a track that truly conveys the scale of the metropolis—possesses a captivating allure. Before you know it, the performance shifts into the honky-tonk style of "Ruff Enuff."

Then comes the Atlanta Late Show footage. The camera work offers incredibly tight close-ups. This legendary footage—transitioning from "Diamonds & Pearls" into "Purple Rain"—captures Prince in such intimate detail that it can truly be considered a global treasure. Although the camera loses the subject at times, it remains a treasure nonetheless. In fact, the performance switches back and forth between "Diamonds & Pearls" and "Purple Rain," creating a unique mashup version. At the end, Prince looks spent, as if he has given his all, yet he stands firm, raises his cane to acknowledge the crowd, and then the footage cuts out.
