This release features the first and second shows from Led Zeppelin’s 1969 American tour, held on April 27 at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, California. Following a two-month European tour that concluded at the end of February, the band embarked on a U.S. tour in late April; this particular performance is a classic among collectors, now presented here with a 2019 remaster. Any missing segments or problematic audio have been seamlessly patched using excellent-quality audience recordings, resulting in a definitive version that captures the raw, authentic energy of the band—a visceral, unpolished intensity unique to this specific period. With a soundboard (SBD) recording serving as the primary source, the entire performance offers a consistent, high-quality listening experience.
