This is a live soundboard recording featuring a rare quartet led by Herbie Hancock. It captures a performance from the 1996 Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, sourced from a radio broadcast. Through remastering, the audio output has been boosted, and the bass—which previously sounded muffled—has been brought out with greater clarity. While some minor background noise from the original recording is audible during pauses in the music, it becomes completely unnoticeable once the performance begins. The setlist is quite unusual, featuring numerous covers of rock and pop songs by artists such as Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, and Prince. The final track, "Cantaloupe Island," has been added to the collection, having been remastered from a separate broadcast source.
