This release captures the live performance from October 10, 1997—the second of two shows held at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. This marked his first-ever tour in Korea; the Japan leg of the tour began immediately afterward. The Korean audience—perhaps unaccustomed to rock concerts or simply inclined toward a very polite listening style—listened intently and quietly while the music played, offering proper, enthusiastic applause only after each song concluded. Eric himself seems to be playing with great care, likely due to it being his debut performance in the country. There is a palpable sense of tension in the air, giving the performance a fresh, unique feel. While it is uncertain if he will perform in Korea again, this recording documents a rare live event. Regarding sound quality: although it is an audience recording and the microphone position may have been somewhat distant, the result is a natural soundscape that captures the atmosphere of the venue effectively. The recording itself is very stable, allowing for an uninterrupted listening experience free from intrusive crowd noise. Please enjoy this rare recording of the Korean concert.
