This release pairs recordings from two shows during the European tour supporting Eric Clapton's 1976 hit album *No Reason To Cry*: the July 29th concert at The Pavilion in Hemel Hempstead, UK, and the July 31st show at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London. By 1976, Clapton had recovered from drug addiction and was in peak mental and physical condition; he delivered aggressive, uninhibited live performances that are truly astonishing to hear. The July 31st show featured an incredible lineup of special guests—it is amazing to think so many stars gathered for a single night. The quality of the performances themselves is flawless; in a word, they are magnificent. Regarding sound quality, the July 29th performance is a soundboard recording and the July 31st performance is an audience recording; however, considering the era, both offer excellent audio quality.
