This release compiles studio rehearsals for the 1975 tour across four discs. While previously released versions have existed for quite some time, they suffered from poor sound quality due to being sourced from lower-generation tapes. A version remastered by someone known as "Captain Acid" also circulates, but since it relies on those earlier releases, it shows no significant improvement over the original's distorted sound and prominent hiss.

In contrast, this release is derived from a completely different source; while hiss isn't entirely absent, it is barely noticeable, and the audio is clean and beautiful. Most importantly, the soundstage is expansive—a vast improvement over the narrow range of the previous releases. While sound quality preferences vary, the difference in the sonic image is undeniable; this release is essentially a completely different animal from what came before.
