This title compiles previously unseen footage—most notably the 1964 *Top of the Pops* appearance, which represents perhaps the most significant archival discovery in recent years. The entire release consists of footage never before seen by the public and upgraded versions of clips previously held in private collections.

TOP OF THE POPS (1964)
The centerpiece is footage from the British music program *Top of the Pops*, covering appearances from 1964, 1965, 1966, and 1967. Particularly astonishing are the four takes of "Can't Buy Me Love" and two takes of "You Can't Do That" from the 1964 appearance—performances long thought to be lost, as no film was believed to have survived. The first take of "Can't Buy Me Love" is a rehearsal; the second was interrupted by a lighting error; the third by a camera switching error; and the fourth is considered the "OK" take. Newly transferred from discovered 35mm negatives, the high quality of this previously unseen footage is remarkable. In addition to the rehearsals, three versions of the actual broadcast performance are included.

TOP OF THE POPS (1965, 1966 & 1967)
The 1965 performance of "Ticket to Ride" features the band wearing the same military-style suits seen at the Shea Stadium concert. The 1966 performance features "Paperback Writer." While the recorded segments are brief, the footage is truly moving; it brings to life the famous, beautiful photograph of the band set against a backdrop of circular, colorful lights. For 1967, rather than a live studio performance, the pre-recorded footage of "All You Need Is Love" from the *Our World* broadcast was aired; this release includes three versions of that performance.

READY STEADY GO! 1963
This features vivid color footage—not colorized later, but shot on color film, which was a rarity at the time. It captures not only the performances but also clear color shots of the band arriving at the studio, smoking during rehearsal breaks, and chatting with the staff.

ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE 1963
Sourced from the ATV master tape, this covers the famous Royal Variety Performance (notable for John Lennon's "rattle your jewelry" remark). Despite the presence of timecodes, the image quality is astonishingly clear.

AROUND THE BEATLES 1964
Although the original broadcast was in black and white, this release includes vivid color footage of the rehearsals. The main performance is also presented in color; however, this footage was not taken by the cameras used for the actual broadcast but was instead filmed separately on 8mm film.

SCENE AT 6:30 1964
This segment is in black and white but captures the Beatles arriving at the venue, fans waiting for them, and rehearsals for "And I Love Her." While rehearsal footage of this song has been available before, this version offers significantly improved image quality and a longer runtime. It also includes fascinating candid moments—such as the members goofing around in the dressing room and leaving the venue amidst fans—captured during breaks in the rehearsal.

READY STEADY GO! 1964
This also features rare color footage. In the rehearsal clips, the band members are seen in casual, mismatched clothing. As for the main feature itself, the footage does not come from professional broadcast cameras; instead, it consists of 8mm film shot privately during the actual production. Seeing the familiar stage, background, and other elements in color offers a remarkably fresh perspective. A similar phenomenon occurred with Akira Kurosawa’s *No Regrets for Our Youth*; although it was a black-and-white film, U.S. military personnel happened to be present at the location shoot and captured the filming process on color film, resulting in a rare color record of the production. This *Ready Steady Go!* release was captured under similar circumstances.

SHINDIG! 1964
While this title primarily compiles the band's UK television appearances—centered on *Top of the Pops*—it also includes footage from their appearance on the American program *Shindig!* as a bonus feature. The rehearsal footage captures the authentic atmosphere of a practice session, including a moment where Ringo misses the cue for the intro to "Boys" and has to start over.

THE LOST TOP OF THE POPS FILMS
This release features what is arguably the year's most significant archival discovery: rehearsal footage from the 1964 *Top of the Pops* for "Can't Buy Me Love" and "You Can't Do That." It also includes previously unseen footage from the same program spanning various years.
