For the Beatles' *Anthology* project, the three surviving Beatles gathered between February and March 1994 at Hog Hill Mill Studio—located at Paul's home in Sussex—to record the new songs "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love." The fact that this was a recording session for a new Beatles song was kept strictly confidential; the tape box bore the fictitious band name "SAMARITANS," which also serves as the title for this release.

Around late August 2026, the multitrack recordings for "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love" were leaked. Their content was fascinating, sending fans into a frenzy. If the *Top of the Pops* (1964) footage represented a rare and remarkable discovery in recent years, the leak of these two multitrack recordings was an equally astonishing audio find.

Unfortunately, the initial leak was incomplete; the resulting releases—likely rushed to market—amounted to only about two CDs' worth of material, totaling a mere 130 minutes. This release, however, is not merely a compilation of files downloaded from the web or audio ripped from YouTube; it is sourced from much closer to the original origin point. Spanning 65 tracks and totaling 230 minutes, this represents the genuine, complete picture.

This rare, significant audio discovery consists of session material derived from the "Real Love" multitracks. It is a comprehensive 3-disc set featuring 65 tracks and 230 minutes of audio—vastly surpassing any previous releases.
