This recording captures Rory Gallagher's performance at the Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall (Hiroshima Yūbin Chokin Hall) during his third tour of Japan on October 27, 1977. While Gallagher performed multiple shows in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya across his four Japanese tours, this Hiroshima recording is a rare item, representing the only concert held in a regional city outside those major hubs. By October 1977, Gallagher had released the acclaimed album *Calling Card* (produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover in 1976); Glover's production helped evolve Gallagher's signature blues sound, infusing it with a distinct rock edge. The performance is high-energy and superb. The setlist offers a fantastic live experience, blending tracks from the new album—such as "Calling Card"—with major hits like "Tattoo'd Lady," alongside high-tempo numbers and the impassioned blues performances for which Gallagher is renowned. This is the only Hiroshima show among Rory Gallagher's four tours of Japan, making it a rare release. Although it is an audience recording, the audio quality is excellent; edits were made to seamlessly handle cutouts inherent to the master tape, resulting in a clear, well-balanced sound that allows you to fully enjoy Rory Gallagher's blues. Additionally, two tracks from the October 31, 1977, Osaka concert are included as bonus tracks.
