A complete recording from the third night (October 2nd) of their 2001 Japan tour—supporting the albums *Kid A* and *Amnesiac*—captured from the front row at the Nippon Budokan. The sound quality and sense of presence are astonishing—surpassing what one would typically expect from a Budokan recording! It is truly amazing!
While Thom’s performance that day was reportedly somewhat subdued, listening to the audio reveals nothing but excellence—it is simply superb! The highlights include performances of "Pearly" (a track that rarely appeared live) and the unreleased song "Turn Love Waits." Thom’s solo acoustic performance of "True Love Waits" during the encore is particularly moving and magnificent!

[Review from a specialist magazine]
High-quality audience recording. On this day, the speakers that would normally be stacked beside the stage were all suspended overhead, freeing up the space at the side of the stage to serve as the PA booth. Thanks to this setup, the sound reached every corner of the venue without any time lag or issues. Yet, for some reason, the audience remained subdued, simply standing motionless and watching the stage. Perhaps this reaction affected the performance; "Idioteque" got off to a botched start and concluded as a slow version—an altogether unsatisfying rendition. Thom wore a grim expression as he sang. The live album *I Might Be Wrong*, released later, includes a version of "True Love Waits" from a different show (in mono), but I believe the performance from this Nippon Budokan concert was superior.
