This recording captures the opening night of Ozzy Osbourne's 1981 US tour, held on April 22 at the Towson Center Arena in Towson, Maryland. Following his departure from Black Sabbath, Ozzy launched his solo career by recruiting the then-virtually unknown Randy Rhoads as his guitarist for the *Blizzard of Ozz* tour. While the tour had already kicked off in Europe in 1980—featuring former Rainbow bassist Bob Daisley and former Uriah Heep drummer Lee Kerslake—this performance marks the band's debut in the US with a new lineup. The energy is incredibly high; fueled by the adrenaline of opening night and peak physical and mental stamina, the band delivers a powerhouse performance that clearly conveys Ozzy's intense motivation. Randy is also in top form, showcasing fluid guitar work throughout the set. It is a superb live performance. The audio quality is derived from an audience recording; while it bears a slight trace of its era, the recording is excellent, offering a sense of immediacy and clarity that allows you to enjoy consistently high-quality sound.
